Basic Structure And Working Principle

 

Main components
Transmission system: motor, reduction gearbox, driving the twin screws to rotate.
Feeding system: precisely controlling material input (such as screw feeder, liquid injection pump).
Extrusion system
Barrel: segmented heating/cooling, modular combination.
Twin screw: rotating in the same or opposite direction, can be combined with different screw elements (conveying, shearing, mixing, etc.).
Die head system: determines the final shape of the product (such as puffed food, pellet feed).
Cutting system: rotating blades adjust the length of the product (such as pet food, snacks).
Working process
Feeding section: material (powder, slurry, etc.) is fed into the barrel.
Conveying and mixing section: the screw rotates to push the material forward, while shearing and mixing.
Melting and reaction section: under high temperature and high pressure, the material undergoes gelatinization, denaturation or chemical reaction (such as starch gelatinization, protein cross-linking).
Molding: The molten material is extruded through the die, where a sudden drop in pressure causes it to expand (e.g., in puffed foods). Cutting and Cooling: The product is cut and cooled to set its shape.
